Hey !
I had a moment this morning.
I was making coffee in the new kitchen. We've got one of those moka stove-top ones here, which I'm less well-acquainted with than the cafetiere I have back home.
Long story short, I thought that when it bubbles it's done. But as it was happily bubbling away, J informed me that I was in fact burning it. Now, I do love my morning coffee, so I probably looked a bit annoyed/disappointed/maybe gutted.

But before I could even respond, my three-year-old excitedly shouts,
'Don't worry mummy, it's just a mistake! It's a mistake! It's ok!'. Any frustrations melted away.Because it was my reminder that yes, it was just a mistake, and I'll master this new coffee pot with some practise.
Now this is the biggy... because she's throwing those resilience messages back at me, so they are clearly going in and registering in her brain.
And that is why I love the work I do.
I love seeing children become more resilient and less afraid of making mistakes.
I love seeing adults work on their own resilience and give themselves a few more breaks.
And I love seeing how bonding it is for everyone to go through the journey together. 🥰
And that feeling when you get a little glimmer that something you are saying to or teaching your child IS going in...! It's just really nice when you can see that, right? Properly makes my heart jump with excitement that the hard work is paying off. 😛
See you next week.
