Am I your person?
Parenting isn't always a walk in the park, right?
You love your child fiercely. You want them to be confident, motivated and resilient. But right now you're stuck, and if any of these sound like your family, read on.
Homework battles
Something always ends in a right old pickle, no matter what you try. Every attempt ends in tears or a stand-off (and major parent-guilt).
Feedback from teachers
You hear, “They’re not willing to give things a try.” Mistakes lead to meltdowns or total shutdowns. You just want them to feel happy and confident.
The “good one” parent
You always did your work and aimed to please. Now your child just won’t (or can’t) do the same. It’s confusing, frustrating, sometimes heartbreaking.
Perfectionism paralysis
Your child is afraid to try unless it’s perfect. Tasks get repeated endlessly, or they just refuse to start.
Low self-esteem
They put themselves down and refuse to try: “I’m stupid,” “I can’t do it.” Their confidence seems to be slipping away.
Lack of independence
They rely on you for reassurance or help with everything. You wish they could feel more capable and independent.
Anxiety and worry
Your child gets anxious about school or new situations. Worries turn into avoidance or clinging to you.
SEND / SEMH challenges
You’re unsure where encouragement ends and pressure begins. You worry about helping without making them feel less than.
If any of this sounds like you, maybe I am your person…

I'm Becca, teacher, parent coach, and founder of Noisy Book Club.
When parents feel stuck or frustrated, I help them find an approach that works for their child — not a generic one.
I've spent over 10 years in classrooms and schools studying what actually shifts things for children and families.
Post-graduate research, daily practice, and a lot of time watching what changes and what doesn't.
You don't have to figure it out alone. I know what works.
How I can help
I run workshops for parents and kids that go into all of this.
