Your End of Holiday Goals + MAKING MISTAKES Course Launch!

Hey

It’s been a big week. There I was thinking it would be a doddle once the toddler was back at nursery post-chickenpox. But alas, the littlest babe soon started displaying his own marvellous blisters. When they said babies don’t get it that bad, THEY LIED.

Balancing that alongside two webinars and LAUNCHING MY FIRST COURSE, it’s been busy... but really great. P.S. if you want to know more about the course, check it out quickly because there are only 10 spaces in all and they’ve already started filling up. :-)

It’s all NOISY this week folks -  no BOOK or CLUB

I did consider skipping this week's email.. but it’s the last Friday of the holidays for those of you with kids in school. And transitioning back can be hard. So today’s email is a bit briefer but designed to make that transition back to school a positive experience for you all.

NOISY

How’s the holiday been? Busy? Full of adventures? Slow? Quick? Long? Short? Rushed? Relaxed?

Whether your holiday was brilliant, or not. Whether you’re all looking forward to returning or not, transitioning back into the usual routine can be a jolt to the system.

To help ease the change, I propose everyone in the family chooses a goal for the term. Children might want to choose one of their targets which came up at parents evening last term. Or not! Maybe they’ll want to choose learning to nail a handstand. Whatever they want is great. Adults, this is for you too. What would you like to get better at over the next half term? Preparing for the school run the night before? Meal planning for the week? Or something way more fun than mundane family life chores?

Chose your goals together. Break down the steps you need to take to get there. Set a reminder on your calendar to have a weekly check-in to update each other how it’s going. This is a chance to cheerlead for each other and help each other out if you get stuck.

At half term, assess how you’ve all done and celebrate the progress. Maybe you won’t have achieved the whole goal, but you can celebrate the progress you made or the learning you got out of it.

Having your own, chosen goals gives you all something to look forward to and focus on, even in all the change of transitioning from holiday to school mode.

That being said, the holiday is NOT over yet so enjoy it!

Over and out,

Becca
